Life expectancy will increase by 8 years globally:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegrafik.eu\/what-is-the-age-well-at-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2853 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.telegrafik.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Senior-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"big data population vieillissante\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>We are going to live for longer than ever before in the history of humanity. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nih.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>National Institutes of Health (NIH)<\/strong><\/a> study in the United States predicts that life expectancy at birth will increase by 8 years by 2050 globally. In 2015, life expectancy was 68.6 years; it will increase to 76.2 years in 2050.<\/p>\n<p>100% of European countries have ageing populations, a consequence of very low birth rates and increased life expectancy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><!--more-->2. In 30 years, 1.5 billion people will be over 65:<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegrafik.eu\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2852\" src=\"https:\/\/www.telegrafik.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/planete-300x154.png\" alt=\"big data population vieillissante\" width=\"279\" height=\"143\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>524 million people were over 65 years old, in 2010. In 2050, this figure will rise to 1.5 billion.\u00a0 The largest increases will be in developing countries. In the next 15 years, the number of people aged over 65 will grow by 71% in Latin America and the Caribbean, 66% in Asia and 64% in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"Standard\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">3. 60% of seniors have more or less serious chronic diseases:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegrafik.eu\/3-main-points-of-the-law-about-the-adaptation-of-the-society-to-the-ageing-process\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2054 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.telegrafik.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/salari\u00e9-aidant-150x150.png\" alt=\"big data population vieillissante\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Ageing populations are a challenge for all of us because of their fragile health. 60% of seniors have a more or less serious chronic condition according to a study conducted by <a href=\"http:\/\/research.ibm.com\/healthcare-and-life-sciences\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IBM<\/a> in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>This study also shows that these populations suffer from memory problems.
