CNA - Conférence nationale de l'autonomie

The National Conference on Autonomy of July 9, 2025 places prevention for healthy aging at the heart of its priorities.

Prevention for healthy aging as a priority for the french government

«My conviction is simple: everyone should be able to age in good health.
To guarantee this, we must offer every aging person, wherever they live, concrete, free, and close-to-home prevention initiatives. This is the purpose of this National Conference on Autonomy.” » Charlotte Parmentier-Lecocq, Minister Delegate for Autonomy and Disability, July 9, 2025.

What is the National Conference on Autonomy? ?

In a context where the shift to housing and prevention are becoming major issues, the CNA is building on the various plans launched in recent years.

In 2015, the law on adapting society to aging enabled the creation of departmental funding conferences.

In 2020, a national plan for the prevention of falls among older people was launched.

Then, in 2024, the “Aging Well” law announced the creation of the CNA, a new national body to guide prevention funding, and the positioning of the CNSA as a facilitator and scientific support.

Today, the CNA announces the launch of the CRP (Center for Evidence-Based Resources), the publication of national prevention indicators, and will be followed by three-year guidelines, starting in 2026, which will be based on the evaluation and identification of the most effective levers for Aging Well.

The Icope program, fall prevention and access to technical aids at the heart of strategic orientations

The CNA reiterated the importance of the ICOPE (Integrated Care for Older People) program (in other words, “I manage my health”), designed by the World Health Organization (WHO). It allows people to self-test their autonomy using apps such as Telegrafik’s « ICOPE et Moi »,

and to receive support as part of a program if necessary. Icope is considered a structuring program: as such, it is intended to be expanded nationally.

The national falls prevention plan is another major strategic focus. Five levers are in place: knowing how to identify and alert people to falls, adapting their homes and going out safely, technical mobility aids for everyone, physical activity, and teleassistance for everyone.

The Telegrafik platform is a strong contributor to these strategic areas

Since 2013, Telegrafik has been offering fall prevention, detection, and information systems for professional caregivers.

OTONO-ME equips people at home as part of the home-based transition, and detects early warning signs to delay the occurrence of additional loss of autonomy.

ALERT-ME does this work in nursing homes, and the prevention and detection of falls and abnormal situations is included in the facilities’ fall prevention plans.

Icope et moi is aimed at people aged 65 and over, enabling early action.

The overall objective, using expert and secure connected technologies operated by the Telegrafik platform, is to promote healthy aging throughout the aging process, regardless of where aging people live. By providing tools to professional caregivers and coordinating care circles. This is what we call Tech-Care; it’s our raison d’être.
